What Makes Buwan ng Wika Culmination a Success?

This year's theme for Buwan ng Wika is "Filipino: Wika ng Pambansang Kaunlaran" is exemplified by a selected pupils of Balabag Elementary School in the Division of La Carlota City by showing off their best of the best talents in a short, simple and austere program.

"O pag-ibig kapag ikaw nasok sa puso ninuman, hahamakin ang lahat masunod ka lamang" at "Nang dahil sa pag-ibig, ako'y naging tao." (O love, if you enters to everyone's heart, nothing is impossible just to obey you." and "Because of love, I become a human.")

These lines were my opening statement when I gave a message to a culmination program of Buwan ng Wika.

Everything was realized and came to fruition of what we have had this afternoon because of love.

Teachers did their job perfectly especially in training these kids and making them to be on their feet to show their talents in declamation, in Balagtasan, and in vocal solo singing contest.

Parents, guardians, and everyone in the community especially the Punong Barangay Joel E. Rumbines, Ms. Erlynn Aguinda-Asarce, and the rest of the benefactors and stakeholders of the school have contributed so much for the success of this yearly program on Filipino language because of their love.On

In short, it is love that makes things possible.

Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Handa na ba kayo (Are you ready?)

Success is always preceded by a thorough preparation like time, efforts, and determination to succeed.

It pays to be ready always just the like the boy scout's motto, "always be prepared" for calamaties do come unexpected. But when you're ready, you don't have to fear.

To stress this, I pointed out the fire that gutted down a residential house in the city of La Carlota, the danger that may pose by a cut bamboo tree that accidentally leans on the live wire on top of the power line near the school.

Readiness is too personal and if it is done perfectly, it saves lives. It should also be the responsibility of every family as being led by the head of the family, the father with the cooperation of every member and with the support of the mother. In this year's disaster campaign of the Department of Education (DepEd) is by the family. Thus, it is so termed as "Family Disaster Preparedness".
