The recent In-Service Training for the teachers of Cubay Elementary School leads them to do the appropriate series of actions to let their pupils learned. Technology, diversity of learners and community linkages are the identified major factors for the academic development of the pupils.
Technology
The teachers must know how to operate the different media in enhancing their teaching strategies to make their pupils learned.
Information and communication technology (ICT) is the major concern of the teachers of Cubay Eementary School. In their teaching profeciency need, ICT tops as indicated in their NCBTCS - TSNA.
Teachers in their Hands-on training conducted by Mr. Gilbor D. Camporazo,Jr., a programming instructor of Technical Found Institute(TFI) of Bago City, Negros Occidental, PH.
Diversity of Learners
Teaching the lesson is not so effective as what the teachers experienced. They have finished their lesson presentation, but yet pupils have not learned.
Thus, individual differences are influencing factors in the failure of the pupils to absorb the lesson.
One of the objectives of this CES in-service training for the teachers is mastering the group or set of multiple intelligence to effect the transfer of learning among the pupils.
Multiple Intelligence
Teachers in their pensive mood as they listen to the lecture conducted by Ms. Ofelia N. Ayungon, relief teacher of CES.
To appreciate the importance of multiple intelligence, the teacher-participants took a survey question to classify themselves on what "smart" people they dominantly possess.
Community Involvement
In their concluding training, they came up with an action plan on how to involve the external stakeholders in helping the pupils for their learning. They tap their respective homeroom PTA officers and the barangay council in tackling this task cooperatively and effectively.
