Bryan, eCard Making Champion
We're very proud of our 11-year old grandson, Bryan Perez Camporazo's  accomplishment on the first technolympics competition of schools division of La Carlota on eCard Making contest held recently.

Bryan who was a Grade 6 pupil of La Carlota South Elem. School 1, was one of the 12 competing pupils on eCard Making contest held at their computer room on Thursday, January 29. The said contest was opened to all 23 elementary schools in the division of La Carlota.

On the said venue, the other contest like PowerPoint Presentation and ePoster Making contest were also held there simultaneously with eCard Making contest.

Bryan was representing his school, LCSES 1 with Sir Teofilo M. Villanueva as his coach.

Bryan's Winning Card

The contestants were given a set of graphics uploaded to their respective laptops to be used in lay-outing their preferred Valentine's card and a set of Valentine's messages for them to select to be copied and pasted to their individual card.

Bryan in Action

Bryan's Reactions

Prepared as he was, Bryan was too confident that he could make a nice greetings card for he's already used to making some graphic arts on the laptop owned by his grandfather who happened to be this blogger.

The only apprehension he had was the application used for the program. It was laid out on the Word. He found a bit awkward for he used to do some drawings, layout of graphics on Paint application. Anyway, through his drawing and lay-outing skill on the computer, he did make it.

His coach, Sir Villanueva took an hour with Bryan to familiarize Bryan to Word application, especially on creating a 2-column document for the card. Bryan easily got the instruction and successfully applied and adapted it on the actual contest.

Bryan's Expectation

After he received his medal and a certificate of recognition, Bryan was asked by this blogger on his expectation of winning. He simply replied that he's glad that he participated as per recommendation of Mr. Villanueva. On winning, he humbly said that he believed for his skill and what he did as the first best for him. He never compared it wit the rest of the contest's work.

When his name was called by the program emcee as the champion, Bryan just grinned and came near the stage stair waiting for the blogger to go up with him and to do the honor of putting a gold medal to his neck.

As a grandfather of Bryan, I was overjoyed for the latent talent of my grandson was recognized and duly honored in a simple rites of awarding with the presence of the contest administrator and the schools division superintendent, Dr. Portia M. Mallorca.

Not only us as Bryan's grandparents, also his class adviser, Dr. Lora Nay V. Ranas was very proud of Bryan's technological skill accomplishment. Bryan's uncle, Gilbor D. Camporazo, Jr., a computer programmer instruction of Technological Foundation Institute (TFI) at Bago City, PH was also happy about him.

For sure, Bryan's father who is right now residing in Mindanao is also proud of his son upon knowing it.

  4. My eldest daughter got a scholarship from TESDA for an IT Computer course, when she was still in GRADE 6. Just for a week, she memorizes all the things she saw from YOUTUBE(as an assignment) and I was amazed with the ideas that she had about computer graphics, etc...

Children nowadays are very fond of this, but still we have to guide them because there are some graphics and tutorials that they don't understand. I myself take a course too, for me to get familiar with the computer such as e-card, etc...for my work.

Congrats to your grandson sir Gil and hoping for the best for him!
