La Carlota ALS Joins Tree Planting

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of La Carlota City conducted recently a tree planting activity at the protected area of Kanlaon Park at the upper Sitio Nailab, Brgy. Ara-al, La Carlota City. This is in connection with its national greening program of the government.

Alternative Learning System (ALS) mobile teacher, Ms. Corazon Aloro organized her group with a nod from their education program supervisor Avelino N. Santillan. Eleven ALS representatives composed of the learners and their respective instructional managers and mobile teachers to participate to this one-day tree planting.

The involvement of ALS to this NGP of DENR is the realization of the Department of Education commitment to the PNOY 1-Billion Project of the Aquino administration to protect the environment by planting trees.

    1. Let's absolutely bring back the greening of our environment, especially our forest protected area. No one could ever help us than ourselves. Spiritually speaking, God helps those who help themselves.

  7. The task itself may have been a little difficult but I'm sure the sense of fulfillment in doing something good for the environment more than compensates for it.

  13. This is indeed a very good deed worth emulating by many of us. I believe that the global warming can still be reversed if and when we plant more trees and only be cut in due time.
