Every growing tree inside the city plaza is decorated with firefly bulbs to light them every night.

This is a yearly activity of the city to usher the coming forth of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is usually done every 15th day of December leading to the following early morning mass officiated by the Catholic priest. This is traditionally known by Filipino as "misa de aguinaldo" or "misa de gallo".

In La Carlota, this is a Festival of Lights and Music, a nightly Christmas program and showcasing of talents of a group, a community representative, education sector, senior citizens, among others in a schedule set for them to take their turn every night until New Year's eve.

Come and enjoy with the Mangkasanon as their City Plaza glitters, glistens and shimmers with a thousand and one lights to light up the entire plaza.

LA CARLOTA CITY PLAZA still glitters, glistens, sparkles with lighted firefly lights that are hung in every tree and enhances the beauty of the edifice of Mayor's office and that of Sangguniang Panglungsod.

CHILDREN'S RIDES like merry-go-round, ferriswheel add attraction to the city plaza of La Carlota. These things, for sure, will relive everyone's stress and enjoy the night.

HERD OF REINDEER throngs at the facade of Sangguniang Panglungsod edifice of La Carlota City. Some are grazing at the grassy ground of the said building.

White Christmas is this year's motif for the Festival. The entire plaza is enhanced by anything that is connected with snow like the snow flakes, the herd of reindeer, the snow man.

Gifts given by the city government to its constituents are in the form of government projects like infrastructures, school buildings, livelihood, job opportunity, business and economic opportunities.

    2. That's really nice. The mayor of La Carlota City has done a great job at this. I hope that the Rizal Park here in Manila can also have those kinds of festive lights for people to enjoy.
