Best Artworks of TMAG


Best of works of Tib-ong Mangkas Art Group (TMAG) need to be discovered and promoted for the artists to become motivated, encouraged to excel more in their artistic skills.

Recently formed group of artists who are residents of La Carlota City joined the Agro-Trade Fair of La Carlota Pasalamat festival.

Best Crafts

They displayed their best art crafts, paintings and relief sculpturing in their humble booth. They were as follows:

TMAG is composed of four natives of Mangkas. They're Abraham Obero, 35; Alfred Chavez, 35; Raffie Salazar, 29; and Redmond Nazareno, 25.

La Carlota Agro-Trade Fair 2013


Local produce of La Carlota City from root crops, fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, among others are displayed and even offered for sale in an affordable prices in this business fair.

This agro trade fair is a part of the various activities in the week-long La Carlota Pasalamat Festival which kicks off, Apri 22 and culminates on April 25.

Other wholesome feature and family fun-filled togetherness which could be seen and be enjoyed in this week-long activities may include the following: horse back riding, laro ng lahi, and many more.

Indigenization of School Curriculum


The Philippines is rich in cultural heritage in various field like historical events, places, people, traditional beliefs and values, produce and products all over the archipelago.

Along this premise, the Department of Education "aims to make the curriculum responsive to the needs of the people in various locations of the country." To this effect, therefore, education program specialists of different region had come up with a series of local data and pieces of information in a seminar/workshop of local curriculum integration.

Moreover, iIn compliance with the DepED goal: "Decentralize the formulation and development of certain parts of the curriculum in order to foster national cohesiveness, and to respond to needs of different regions and ethnic groups" (BSE, DECS 1998), those EPS conducted an echo seminar.

In so doing, School Principal Gil Camporazo, the author, of Cubay Elementary School, after attending an echo seminar conducted by the Division of La Calota City relayed to his 14 teachers in a one-day workshop which was held at the school learning resource center in March 22, 2013.
